AIA’s Committee on the Environment (COTE) is a national committee dedicated to the design
quality and environmental performance of the built environment. More information on COTE at
the national level can be found here.
The Committee on the Environment (COTE) works to advance, disseminate, and advocate—to
the profession, the building industry, the academy, and the public—design practices that
integrate built and natural systems and enhance both the design quality and environmental
performance of the built environment
The local chapter of COTE is open to anyone, including non-members of AIA. We are currently
seeking architects, designers, contractors, engineers, and other professionals interested in the
topic of sustainability to join our team.
